Since Haridwar accurately represents Indian culture, it has plenty to offer tourists. Here is a list of the top sites in this revered city during a trip to Badrinath Yatra.

Har ki Pauri ghat

King Vikramaditya constructed the ghat Har Ki Pauri, one of the most well-known locations in Haridwar. It is said that Vikramaditya gave the order to build this ghat in honour of his sibling Bharthari. The evening Aarti, which is organised every evening with considerable passion, is Har Ki Pauri's main draw. It's one of those Haridwar events that you shouldn't miss. Following the Aarti, worshippers float Lamps in the Ganges River, which sparkles beautifully in the dusk.

The Bharat Mata Mandir, located on the Ganges bank that flows through Haridwar, was founded by Swami Satyamitranand Giri. It was constructed in Bharat Mata's honour, who stands in for all of India. It is a large, distinctive temple in Haridwar that honours Mother India and now has gods from ancient myths.

Chandi devi mandir

Chandi Devi Temple, constructed by Emperor Suchat Singh, is positioned atop Neel Parvat. A 3-mile hike or cable car ride from Chandighat will get you to the temple. Legend has it that Chandi, the goddess, slew Chanda-Munda there, the commander of the army of the Evil Kings Sumbha as well as Nishumba.

The revered saint Adi Shankaracharya is thought to have founded the temple's primary deity in the eighth century. Devotees go here from all over the world in search of spiritual favours.
