The serene valley of flowers is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It lies approximately at a distance of 300 km to the north of Rishikesh. This particular valley is home to around a thousand untamed wildflowers that bloom during the peak of spring. The place is open to visitors from around the world from June to September of every year. The valley of flowers was declared a world heritage site in 1932 and, ever since, has been a rich tourist spot for millions of people. The various Himalayan waterfalls and streams that surround the place enhance its beauty.

  • Ghangaria:

    Ghangaria is the last human vegetation on the way to Hemkund Sahib, which is literally the lake of snow. The scene already stands at an elevation and altitude of 3050 mts above sea level and thus is pretty cold during the cold months. The place lies around 4ksm above the valley of flowers. This place, however, remains closed during the winter months due to the heavy snowfall in winter.

  • Bedni Bugyal:

    This is one of the most beautiful Alpine meadows that is situated 3354 metres above the sea level within the valley of flowers. This lies on your way to the Roopkund.
